Some of our Weekend

So we have been spending a lot of time cleaning and repairing the upstairs duplex. Hopefully we will be showing it today and will have a new, honest renter soon. Here are some pictures.
Levi master-minded this monstrosity and even took the picture. Boy, do I love digital. The kids can practice photography and nothing is wasted. Seth is just waiting for the chance to demolish!
Garrett helped put the tread in the kitchen/dining of the duplex. Red whatever spilled all over the kitchen carpet does not come out...nice new flooring!

I've been telling Kaleb all week that Seth needs a haircut. So I come home from band today and this is what greets me at the door. He likes it too much. Too bad it lasted just long enough to take a picture!

Kids at Play

Today was a yard work day. The kids worked very hard. So while I was getting dinner ready they went out and played. After they all piled on the swing together we may end up replacing the support board :)

Boat

I took this picture last week. We borrowed a friend's boat after the bike rodeo and went fishing. We didn't catch anything worth keeping but had a great day at the lake. The boys had a wonderful time taking turns going out in the boat while Seth, Shelby and I stayed on shore. We had a water snake that kept trying to come ashore. I took a picture of him with my cell phone. I'll have to see if it turned out later.

Bike Rodeo

Well, this morning was suppose to be a work around the house day. My Friend called (thanks Lisa) and told me that the Bike rodeo was today. So get the kids ready and off to the rodeo. This is put on by the Police Dept and sponsored by the area businesses. The kids learn bike safety and get to ride some set up courses. They supplied a hot dog lunch and drew for prices. Everyone got free safety helmets.

Levi won a air pump. He is showing you how to use it

Garrett won a new bike! It was the last thing drawn.

This is what happens when you are not use to having front brakes.
His old bike's brakes did not work.

Kaleb's Catch

.

So besides all of the fish we have in the tanks at our house we like to go out and catch ones we can eat. Kaleb caught this one this afternoon. He is 30 1/2" long and weighs just over 7 lbs. This is one happy fisherman (who will not eat fish) and one sad fish!
